Roads and Transport Authority has unveiled updated service schedules for Eid al-Fitr, offering free public parking and revised transport timings across Dubai from March 19 to March 21.
As part of the announcement, public parking spaces across the city will be free of charge during the first three days of Eid. However, this exemption does not apply to multi-storey parking facilities, where regular charges will remain in place. Standard parking fees are set to resume from the fourth day of Eid.
The initiative is designed to ease mobility for residents and visitors during the festive period, when shopping centers, public spaces, and tourist attractions typically see increased footfall. Free parking is expected to encourage smoother traffic flow and reduce congestion in busy areas.
In addition to parking relief, the RTA has also introduced revised schedules for public transportation services. These adjustments will apply to key transport networks, including buses, metro services, and other transit options, ensuring efficient movement across the city during peak Eid activities.
Authorities have advised commuters to stay updated with the latest schedules to plan their journeys effectively. The revised timings aim to accommodate the surge in travel demand while maintaining service efficiency throughout the holiday.
Such seasonal adjustments have become a regular feature in Dubai, reflecting the city’s proactive approach to managing urban mobility during major holidays. With Eid celebrations drawing large crowds, these measures are expected to enhance convenience and accessibility for everyone.
