The tehsil municipal administration in Balakot sealed three private cable cars on Thursday. The TMA superintendent said that the cable cars were sealed for examination to ensure the safety of passengers, mostly women and children. He said that around a dozen chairlifts had already been sealed in Mansehra district.
The development came following the rescue of eight people, including six children, who remained stranded on a cable car hundreds of feet above ground in the mountainous Battagram area. They got stuck in the chairlift for long hours after two of its cables snapped.

Tuesday, a foreign Airplane Passenger plane narrowly escaped an accident after it was hit by a bird strike near the Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore. With around 350 passengers on board, the Istanbul bound plane was hit by a bird as soon as it took off from the airport. The pilot, however, managed to turn the plane around and landed it safely at the airport.
The airline accepted the passenger’s request and made arrangements for their stay in a hotel. It also promised passengers to arrange another flight to Istanbul and refunded them the money for their PCR tests.
Earlier, after the flight had been cancelled, the airline had recommended the passengers leave for their homes.
Fearing a protest by passengers, authorities had called for additional contingents of the Airport Security Force (ASF) to control the situation.
Former fast bowler and captain Wasim Akram, who was present in Muzaffarabad for the Kashmir Premier League, apologized to the people of Karachi after seeing piles of dirt on the Neelum River.
He shared a video on Twitter where the Neelum River was flowing behind him.
At the beginning of the video, the former cricketer showed his surroundings and said that he was not present in Europe or Switzerland but in beautiful Pakistan.

Wasim Akram went on to apologize to the people of Karachi for calling them dirty and unhygienic because he assumed that Karachiites do not care much about cleanliness. This belief of his changed after he saw the piles of dirt placed on the beautiful Neelum River.
He further added that not only are the people of Karachi unsanitary but all of us are very dirty.
