YNH Films Releases another Fun Video from Wrong No. 2 – Gali Gali

The season’s most awaited film Wrong No. 2 by YNH Films and Distribution Club is finally in the theatres now and has released a new music video ‘Gali Gali’.

A film by the famous Yasir Nawaz, Wrong No.2 hit the big screens nationwide this Eid-ul-Fitr. The song ‘Gali Gali’ is a peppy dance number featuring the Pakistani actress and model Yashma Gill along with the other cast members of the movie. Sung by Shahid Mallya and Isheeta Chakrvarty, the music director of the song is Simaab Sen, while the lyrics have been written by Sameer Rahat. The music video has got an energetic vibe to it and is visually very appealing.

Wrong No. 2 has been produced by Hassan Zia and Sheikh Amjad Rasheed, two of the industry’s most talented producers, whereas the screenplay has been written by Yasir Nawaz. A story by Danish Nawaz while the dialogues of the movie are by the creative genius, Ahmed Hassan. It is a romantic comedy featuring a power-packed cast with the gorgeous Neelum Muneer, Sami Khan and the legendary Javed Sheikh in the lead roles.

A story of a hilariously complicated love triangle that a rich father’s daughter, Zoya finds herself in, Wrong No. 2 features an epic family drama, some misfortunes, and a whole lot of laughter. Other cast members of the film include Danish and Yasir Nawaz, Ahmed Hassan, Ashraf Khan, Shafqat Cheema, Sana Fakhar, while Irfan Khosat has a guest appearance in the movie.

YNH Films, along with Distribution Club, has partnered up with EROS International for the worldwide distribution of the film, which has already been running successfully in the cinemas all over Pakistan.

One Day In The Haram

This Ramadan will see the exclusive theatrical release of the feature-length documentary film, One Day In The Haram, in cinemas nationwide across Pakistan.

The theatrical distribution has been undertaken by Footprint Entertainment, the group which has been responsible for distribution of major foreign as well local content since 2005 in Pakistan.

From its world premiere at the Dubai International Film Festival, all the way through to its most recent premiere in India, One Day In The Haram has sold out cinema venues all over world. It is by far the most successful Islamic documentary film of all time.

One Day in the Haram is the extraordinary story of the Haram in Makkah, a place so revered that non-Muslims are forbidden from even setting foot in it. The film represents the first time in history that the Government of Saudi Arabia has allowed a film crew full access to the inner workings of the Haram.

British Pakistani director Abrar Hussain spent over a year researching different aspects of the Haram, to bring worldwide audiences the most complete and compelling vision of the Haram ever produced. Packed with knowledge and never before seen footage, this is a film that anyone with love for the religion of Islam must see.

This extraordinary film has already sold out cinemas in multiple countries all over the world, including Western countries such as the UK, USA, Australia, and Canada. The season’s much-awaited rom-com by YNH Films and Distribution Club, Wrong No.2 released the video of its first official song ‘Yaariyan’ today.

A film by the most talented Yasir Nawaz, Wrong No.2 has been produced by the entertainment industry’s giants, Hassan Zia and Sheikh Amjad Rasheed, while the screenplay has been written by Yasir Nawaz. The movie is expected to be a love story with a comedic twist, and the song ‘Yaariyaan’ tunes in well with the genre of the film. With Simaab Sen as the music director, Harshdeep Kaur’s melodious voice can be heard singing the newly released soundtrack. The lyrics have been composed by Fatima Najeeb.

Wrong No. 2’s story centers around a rich heiress Zoya, played by the stunning Neelum Munir, who falls in love with a man lower to her in financial status, played by Sami Khan. The love story starts off with a lot of complications that don’t eventually die down. With a series of love interests, family drama and misfortune, the characters in Wrong No.2 get stuck in a crazy ride of romance and emotions, and a whole lot of laughter. The movie sports a powerful cast behind it that includes Jawaid Sheikh, Danish and Yasir Nawaz, Ahmed Hassan, Ashraf Khan, Shafqat Cheema, Sana Fakhar, and many others. Irfan Khosat will also be making a guest appearance in the movie.

It is a story by Danish Nawaz, while the dialogues have been written by Ahmed Hassan. Furthermore, YNH Films, along with Distribution Club, has partnered up with EROS International for the worldwide distribution of the film.

The blockbuster on-screen jodi Hareem Farooq and Ali Rehman Khan are back together in IRK Films & Arif Lakhani Films upcoming movie Heer Maan Ja, releasing worldwide on Eid Ul Azha (August 2019).

Heer Maan Ja has been directed by Azfar Jafri who has previously directed box office successes Siyaah, Janaan, Parchi and Sherdil and penned by debutant writer Owais Korai Baloch.

The teaser also unveils the star studded cast of the film that includes Ali Kazmi, Aminah Sheikh, Sami Khan, Saleem Mairaj, Ahmed Ali Akbar, Mojiz Hasan, Faizan Sheikh, Shamyale Nasir and Abid Ali in pivotal roles, and the big screen comeback of 90’s Lollywood starlet Zara Sheikh.

UNIVERSAL PICTURES AND REALD ANNOUNCE THE MUMMY DAY ON SATURDAY, MAY 20th, 2017

Karachi May 17, 2017—Universal Pictures announced The Mummy Day, inspired by the upcoming action-adventure, which will launch at 12 P.M. PDT on Saturday, May 20. Audiences of all ages are invited to visit the enormous 75-foot, 7-ton sarcophagus, which will be revealed at the Hollywood & Highland gateway in Los Angeles.

The Mummy star Tom Cruise will be joined on stage by his fellow co-stars and director Alex Kurtzman to invite participants to enjoy The Mummy VR Zero Gravity Stunt Experience and The Mummy Escape Game at the complex. Fans can tune in and watch the revealing live on The Mummy Official Facebook page and Fundago’s Facebook page.

The Mummy arrives in cinemas across Pakistan and worldwide on June 9th, 2017. The largest single vertical structure ever assembled at the gateway, The Mummy sarcophagus measures 75 feet in height, 28 feet in width and weighs an astonishing 15,000 pounds.

Moreover, In The Mummy Escape Game, an immersive live-action fan experience that also makes its world premiere at The Mummy Day, guests will be recruited as security guards and enter the sweeping story of The Mummy by travelling through multiple rooms to solve the puzzle and defeat the game.

The creative team on this action-adventure event is led by director/producer Alex Kurtzman and producer Chris Morgan, who have been instrumental in growing some of the most successful franchises of the past several years. Last night, Executive Producer of ‘Cake’, Sayed Zulfiqar Bukhari hosted the cast, crew and many members of the film and creative fraternity to celebrate the beginning of the film’s London shoot. He comments “I have been watching the evolution of Pakistani cinema over the years and am excited to be a part of this project to showcase Pakistani talent to an international audience. Cake is a film about responsibility and choice’s according to Asim Abbasi, the writer & director of the film. ‘The story unravels layer by layer, as the characters confront past secrets and buried truths. Cake is directed by Asim Abbasi, with the screenplay also written by Asim Abbasi. The Director of Photography is Mo Azmi and Aarij Hashimi is the Production Designer.

The film is being produced by UK production company – Indus Talkies, with Mahnoor Amna Mahmood as the Associate Producer and Sayed Zulfiqar Bukhari as the Executive Producer. Cake will launch at the end of 2017.

ARY FILM FESTIVAL 2017 CLOSES WITH A BANG

[Karachi, May 7th, 2017]: ARY Digital Network set forth the 1st ARY Film Festival which ended on 7th of May, 2017 with a star-studded closing night hosted by the multitalented Faysal Qureshi and the beautiful Madiha Imam.

The event was attended by the top celebrities and personalities of the media and film industry. Amazing performances by Sheema Kirmani, Sanam Marvi and Hamza Qawwal along with a stand-up comedy act by the social media star Danish Ali.

The 3 day festival screened 33 films, which were shortlisted from around 400 entries received from all over the world. The jury included local and international award winning filmmakers, writers and media personalities such as Anwar Maqsood, Khalil Nanitalwala, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, Marilyn Agrelo, Ram Kishore Parcha, John Gann, Andy Merkin, Jack McDonald and Amna Khan. The festival also came up with special screenings of internationally acclaimed films such as Maheen Zia’s ‘Lyari Notes’, ‘Brave Heart: The Lizzie Velazquez Story’ contributed by the American Film Showcase and Anjum Shehzad’s ‘Mah e Mir’. Additionally, Academy award winner Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy’s ‘Song of Lahore’ was also premiered at the festival.

Award for Best Story Feature Film was given to ‘Choora Ek Pratha’ and Best Short Film (Silver Category) to ‘Amrita & I’, both were screened in collaboration with Delhi International Film Festival. Seraj us Salikin won the award for Best Short Documentary for his film ‘Masters of the Sky’; whereas award for Best Director Short Documentary goes to Ali Ijaz for ‘Pangolins in Peril’. ‘In Search of America’ won the award for Best Short Film (Gold Category); Syed Fazal Hussain won the award of Best Actor (Short Film) for ‘Dil Tau Bacha Hai’. Best Documentary Feature award was given to ‘K2 & The Invisible Footmen’ and Maheen Zia’s ‘Lyari Notes’ won the Red Category Excellence in Documentary Feature. Purple Category Excellence in Documentary Feature was given to Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy for her film ‘Song of Lahore’. Anjum Shehzad’s ‘Mah e Mir’ won the award for Best Film – Feature.

Mr. Salman Iqbal, President & Founder, ARY Digital Network, in his message about the festival said “It has been our primary objective since the establishment of ARY Films to develop and foster the film industry in Pakistan. Screening of selected entries will begin from the 4th and will continue till the 6th of May at Cinepax, Ocean Mall, Karachi. During the course of the festival a seminar and panel discussion will also be held, highlighting the factors affecting the success of films and cinema in Pakistan. The festival will be concluded at with grand event featuring musical performances and award ceremony for winning entries.
