Imran Abbas and Alizeh Shah have been part of the entertainment industry for quite a while now. The both have been part of some amazing projects and have created their own identity with their work. Both look good together on and off the screen and a rumour has it that they are about to tie the knot soon. 

Recently the duo was seen together in Jo Tu Chahay and stunned the audience with their performance. In fact, the chemistry between the two is the main reason the drama became a hit. It is mention-worthy here that Imran Abbas, who has been in the industry for a little longer and is known for his powerful characters in Meri Zaat Zara-e-Benishan, Tum Kon Piya, Akbari Asghari, Dil-e-Muztar, Alvida and Mohabbat Tumsay Nafrat Hai has never been mentioned in any kind of scandal before and this is why this news becomes even more interesting.

In an interview, Imran Abbas has candidly hinted towards getting married soon and people cannot help but speculate that he is going to choose Alizeh Shah as his life partner. They have already been spending quality time together and, unlike on screen, where they seem to have serious personalities, both are having a lot of fun together. According to sources, the two have been dating for a couple of months now.

Alizeh Shah Signs for Web series with UrduFlix Originals title “Dulhan aur aik Raat”         

Karachi, 22nd December 2020: Up and coming actress and model Alizeh Shah is ready to star in an exclusive web series for Pakistan’s first ever Urdu streaming platform UrduFlix with title “Dulhan aur Aik Raat”.

The platform that is being launched sometime in mid-January already has viewers excited for what is about to enfold. The platform would be host to several original dramas, web series, and international shows dubbed in the Urdu language.

Details about the newly announced web series haven’t been revealed yet, though this would be the first time Alizey Shah would be starring in a web series, who originally garnered fame for her performance in the 2019 hit Ehd-e-wafa.

The first Urdu OTT platform owned by Emax Media Pvt ltd. is officially expected to launch in mid-January 2021.

[Karachi, Dec 20, 2020] After his successful foray into the digital world with the hit web series ‘Ek Jhooti Love Story’ this year, Bilal Abbas Khan is once again headed to the small screen with drama serial ‘Dunk’, slated to go on-air from 23rd December, Wednesday, at 8 PM on ARY Digital.

This marks as his third project with director Badar Mehmood, who he has previously worked with in the critically acclaimed dramas Cheekh and Balaa, earning Lux Style Awards nominations for both two years in a row. His new drama ‘Dunk’ is a murder mystery where Bilal Abbas would be seen in a lead role opposite Sana Javed for the first time. Starring as ‘Haider’, Bilal would be playing a realistic and honest role after his multiple eccentric and unique characters this year.

“Dunk is a very special story – one that will create a lot of noise, and one that needs to be told. My character is a very realistic one – Haider is an honest guy who stands with the truth and fights for what is right,” said Bilal Abbas Khan, talking about his role. “It was also great to reunite with my Cheekh and Balaa team – and it is always a pleasure working with Badar (Mehmood). I hope we manage to get the message we have tried to portray across successfully.”

Bilal Abbas Khan has had quite a year with multiple hit projects under his belt, proving to be one of the most bankable actors in the industry at the moment. Be it the innocent Abdullah in Pyar Ke Sadqay, or a typical Karachi boy in Ek Jhooti Love Story, the actor has created his place in the industry over time with his choices of unique roles. He has also been ranked amongst the top 50 Asian celebrities in the world this year.

‘Dunk’ has been penned by Mohsin Ali Shah and also features an ensemble cast including Shahood Alvi, Fahad Sheikh, Laila Wasti, Saifi Hassan, Salma Hassan, Kanwal Khan, Noman Ejaz, and Azekah Daniel among others.

Up and coming singer-songwriter and producer Haris Haroon has just released his latest song ‘Meherma’ on all digital platforms worldwide. It is accompanied by a heart touching music video.

Meherma is a soothing love ballad that features a blend of subtle rhythms and tones that come together perfectly to create a moving musical experience.

Lyrically, it explores the idea that each love is unique and original in its own way. And that uniqueness, if harnessed, is a powerful gift that helps create the perfect, most authentic expression of that love. In a world which is already saturated with love songs and poems, and all sorts of presents and tributes… a world where almost everything has been said and done in the name of love.. Originality and authenticity still remain the best gifts one can give.

The video follows the story of a girl who finds solace and happiness in small paper objects (origami), and has a deep emotional attachment to them because of the meaning they carry. This sentimental value of the origami and the reason behind it is unknown and completely alien to those around her. In the end, she is forced to leave it behind.

Haris Haroon is an emerging singer-songwriter and music producer hailing from Lahore, Pakistan. Ever since completing his education at Berklee College of Music, Boston, he has set up a studio in Lahore and writes and produces music for himself and other artists. His discography thus far includes pieces like ‘Putli tamasha’, ‘Saathi re’, ‘Tez Gaam’ (and others), all of which have been on the airwaves and received much appreciation. He also has a live act that features original and cover tunes in their repertoire. His band HH and the riot house where in the top shortlisted bands out of a total of 700 bands from all over Pakistan in Pepsi battle of the bands season 4.

Haris’ musical influence and writing is deeply rooted in the diverse musical and philosophical traditions of Pakistan, along with contemporary western styles and genres such as Rock, Blues, funk and Pop.

ZEE5 Global has launched the trailer of its first Zindagi original and Asim Abbasi’s most awaited web series ‘Churails’. The web-series will be available for streaming from the 11th August on the OTT app ZEE5 and on www.zee5.com

The trailer, out now on YouTube gives us a first look into the story – a strong and unconventional narrative packed with gripping and exciting moments.

‘Churails’ is the first original Pakistani series to be launched on ZEE5, the largest streaming platform for South Asians across the globe. ‘Churails’ follows the story of four self-proclaimed Churails who come together to break some stereotypes and challenge the hypocrisy of patriarchal societies.

Directed by Asim Abbasi of ‘Cake’ fame, ‘Churails’ brings together a talented cast starring Sarwat Gilani, Nimra Bucha, Mehar Bano, and Yasra Rizvi in the lead roles.

Speaking about the upcoming series, actor Yasra Rizvi said “Churails is a story of four strong women characters but it depicts what each and every woman deals with – not just in a particular country but globally. These characters have empowered us and I’m sure even the ones who watch it will feel the same connect. We’re glad that it’s going to be seen by people worldwide!”

Currently garnering rave reviews for her brilliant performance in a negative role in Pyar Ke Sadqay, the versatile Yashma Gill is all set to appear on our screens in an entirely new avatar in ‘Gustakh’ opposite veteran actor Faysal Qureshi.

Starring as ‘Ania’; Yashma Gill will be essaying an innocent and sweet girl who is overshadowed by others and will be seen floundering for her love and loved ones in the play. Yashma will be sharing the screen with Faysal Qureshi, Faryal Mehmood, and Ali Ansari among others.

Talking about the new drama, Yashma Gill said, “I am so happy I got to work alongside this amazing cast – it was a wonderful experience! Playing this role has been really enlightening for me and I can’t wait for everyone to finally watch Ania’s story.”

Written by Saima Akram Chaudhary of Suno Chanda fame, the drama is directed by Najaf Bilgrami. The play is slated to go on-air from Thursday 9th July 2020 on Express TV.

Yet another on-screen unconventional celebrity couple is all set to hit our screens this month and this time it is the power-packed pair of Ushna Shah and Ahsan Khan, all set to breeze their way in Geo Entertainment’s new drama ‘Bandhay Ek Dour Se’.

The story is penned by Faiza Ifthikar of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi fame and is helmed by the star director Ali Faizan. The drama is produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi’s 7th Sky Entertainment.

Joining Ahsan Khan and Ushna Shah in the cast are Hina Altaf in a supporting role,  Saba Faisal, Saba Hameed, Samina Ahmed, Noor Hassan, Madiha Rizvi, Ali Rizvi, Qavi Khan and many more.

The promos of the drama are grabbing eyeballs on social media and the duo has dazzled the viewers with their palpable chemistry in the teaser.

Speaking to media about his role in the drama, Ahsan revealed,” My character is of a young, guy-next-door, happy-go-lucky person and he tries to always keep his family united. There is also a love story revolving around him and he tries his best to take it to marriage while connecting two families to it. The character has satire in it which later turns serious and also has an innocence to it.”

Ushna Shah also revealed major details about her avatar and we can’t wait to see her in the exciting role.

“I play the role of Maheen- the protagonist in the story. She is Umar’s cousin, played by Ahsan Khan. She is a very nice, bubbly, well-mannered girl who is very mature for her age. She lands herself in a situation that is very painful but she has to handle it and maintain her dignity throughout. At the same time, there is a beautiful love and romance she gets involved in.”

The leading pair also divulged that the drama will be devoid of clichéd saas-bahu dilemmas and will highlight the sweet and sour life of middle-class households.

“If the audience wants to watch a story of a household and families, something very light while also very deep and which we all can connect to, then this drama is for them. It is very casual, light-hearted, and emotional. It is very well-shot and well-written describing issues that happen in common households. If the viewers are looking for entertainment and love old PTV, family-oriented dramas, then this project will take them back in time as it has enjoyable elements that fans will get riveted to,” stated Ahsan.

Ushna added the plot will also depict strong unity amongst women that is surely much needed on our television screens.

“It will be a whole-hearted Pakistani family drama which will be very entertaining. It is not a typical saas-bahu drama but about love, loyalty, and also about unity amongst women in a household,” revealed Ushna.

The dandy and dapper, Ali Ansari is on a roll and is receiving immense praise from all nooks and corners. A project of 7th Sky Entertainment, the drama will be aired on Geo Entertainment, is produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, written by Jehanzib Qamar and directed by Zeeshan Ahmed of Deewangi fame.

Ali Ansari has worked his magic across all talented actresses in the glitzy world of showbiz. From Madiha Imam to Kinza Hashmi, Sana Javed to Saboor Aly, Nimra khan to Hira Mani, Neelum Munir to Sarah Khan, Maryam Nafees to Noor Khan; the actor is always at the top of his game when it comes to developing chemistry with his co-stars. This time around he will be seen next to the bubbly beauty, Hina Altaf. Joining the pair in the classy cast are Affan Waheed, Haris Waheed, Sukaina Khan and Rabia Abid Ali.

Speaking to media, here’s what a tight-lipped Ali revealed about the story:

It is an exciting tale that revolves around romance and relationships along with misunderstandings that lead to different events. It is based on love, sacrifices, and giving up. I am playing a parallel role with Affan Waheed as there are two main heroes in the story across Hina Altaf.

If truth be told, there is no character Ali Ansari has not played yet and that too, immaculately. Be it a doting brother in Khaani to an angry young man in Seerat, a family guy in Kamzarf to a heartbroken, loyal lover in Muqaddar, the hero has aced every character with great ease.

After all, he is a man of many talents. We grew up listening to his voice on FM 96 with his show ‘Dude Where is My Song?’. The radio show was amongst the most hip and happening of its time, proving that Ali rocks at whatever he sets his mind too.

As many as three upcoming dramas have been signed up by the star. What’s more, he is planning something super exciting in the world of web-series that his fans will love even more.

Acting is his passion and consequently, he is fearless while experimenting avatars. Fingers crossed to what he has next in store for us with his character in Kaasa e Dil!
