Stay Hydrated

Water intake is considerably less in winter due to the cold outside. However, one must remember that our body is still losing water in different ways and we must rehydrate for it to function properly. Low humidity is one of the biggest reasons for dull skin. Try sipping water throughout the day to retain that moisture. You can also use hot beverages and seasonal fruits like berries and cherries to compensate for your water intake.

Quick Showers

Hot showers seem like a blessing in winters but they are extremely damaging for your skin. Not only do they dehydrate the skin, they also deprive it of the natural oils. The best solution is to use lukewarm water and keeping your showers short.

Use Moisturizer

As soon as you wash your face, hands or even take a shower, use an oil-based moisturizer to keep your skin healthy and glowing all day long.

Use Sunscreens

Sunscreens are not for summer only; they are equally important in winter too. When gathering your gears to go out, like cloves, cap and sunglasses, do not, in any case, forget your sunscreen because UV rays are still there

Night Time Routine

When you are about to give your body a good rest for 7-8 hours, remember your skin too. A good moisturizer and essential oils can do wonders. Just do not do it occasionally, make it a habit and you will wake up with soft and supple skin each day.

Your feet and hands, too are part of your body. Please do take care of them and moisturize them along with your face.

The glamorous world of entertainment is very cruel. People do not even think for a moment before posting judgmental comments here. That is what exactly happened with Sarah Khan when she shared a picture of her latest drama Raqs e Bismil and criticism started pouring in.

Sarah and Noor Khan lost their father last week. They have already lost their mother to a long battle with cancer in 2017. Now the three sisters and two brothers are going through a lot of pain after losing both the parents, yet some netizens have got no basic manners.

It was Abdul Samad Zia, who was also Sarah Khan’s official wedding photographer, who broke this news on the internet. While many fans commented their heartfelt condolences to the Khan sisters, there were some who thought it was the perfect time to school Sarah Khan.

Ms. Khan shared the picture of “Moosa Aur Zohra” and a troll said, “Moosa n Zohra ki pari hai!!! N ur father? Abhe ek week hua hai unha gaye huye and ur posting about dramas? Oh God, kesi dunia hai ye adakari ki”. To which Sarah Khan responded, “kyun ek maheenay baad post karti to gham kum ho jata? Does that even make any sense?”

People should realize that not everyone needs their advice, especially when it is unsolicited and you are giving it to someone who is going through the trauma of losing a dear one.

This is the second saddening news we came to know in the past week. Earlier it was the death of Aiman and Minal Khan which was announced by Aiman’s husband Muneeb on social media.

We are deeply saddened by both the deaths and offer our condolences to the families.

Nadia Khan Introduces Her Husband to the World

Nadia Khan got married in a small ceremony and took to Instagram to share her wedding pictures. The diva looked absolutely stunning on her big day and asked her followers to stay tuned for more pictures.

Khan, later on, shared her complete wedding album on YouTube and we cannot help but admire the beautiful sea green ensemble she donned and paired it with subtle make-up and pink lips.

Sharing the details about her husband and his family, Nadia Khan said, “My husband Wing Commander Faisal Mumtaz Rao is a retired PAF officer and fighter pilot. Born in Lahore in 1970, Faisal joined Pakistan Air Force as a commissioned officer in the 90th GDP course back in 1991. He is known to be one of the most competent and distinguished pilots with 30 years of Flying and Management experience with leading air forces of the world.”

She further added, “Faisal has over 4000 flying hours on Mirage, F-7, Hawk Grob, T-37, Cessna, and other aircrafts. Apart from that, he has topped all the major training courses both in Pakistan and the UAE. He retired from the Pakistan Air Force as Wing Commander in 2009 after serving for 18 years and joined the UAE Air Force first as Instructor Pilot and then as Chief of Safety.”

“Faisal is not new to media since he was featured in ISPR’s song Hawa ka Sipahi by Najam Sheraz.”

Telling about his son, Nadia wrote, “Faisal’s son Hayyan is pursuing his engineering degree in the US.”

Nadia also broke her silence and clarified misunderstandings about her number of marriages, “Kiaan is my adopted son and this is my second marriage.”

Celebrities We Lost In 2020

2020 was a challenging year for everyone. Calamities, eclipses, supermoons and a global pandemic, it saw it all. As if all this was not enough, it took away our favourite celebrities away from us, too.

Tariq Aziz

A whole generation grew up watching the Tariq Aziz Show, formerly known as Neelam Ghar, on PTV. The veteran actor started his career with Radio Pakistan and later on moved to television. He was 84 when he died on 17^th June, 2020 in Lahore due to a heart attack.

Sabiha Khanum

Also known as the First Lady of Pakistan’s Silver Screen, Sabiha Khanum lost her life to renal complications at the age of 84 in the United States. She will always be remembered for her extraordinary roles in movies like Dulla Bhatti, Ek Gunah Aur Sahi, Sassi and Devar Bhabhi

Zara Abid

A renowned actress, model and an amazing human being, Zara was awarded the Best Female Model award in January. She also made her way to the movies and worked in a project with Azeem Sajjad. Sadly, she was one of the unfortunate passengers of flight 8303 which was crashed in Karachi this year.

Sushant Singh Rajput

The 34-year-old star apparently committed suicide in June, 2020. He was allegedly fighting depression and mentioned it several times before taking his own life. Sushant rose to the heights of fame with his movies like MS Dhoni, Kai Po Che! and Dil Bechara.

Irrfan was suffering from cancer and was admitted in a hospital in Mumbai where he lost his life. He created his own identity in the industry with his remarkable performances in Piku and Maqbool. He was also appreciated globally for his movies like Slumdog Millionaire and Life of a Pi.

Chadwick Boseman

Celebrated for his role in Black Panther, Chadwick breathed his last at the age of 43 on 28^th August this year. He was suffering from cancer since years.

Worst Things That Happened In 2020

2020 seems to have lasted for 363,296,3873 years. Thanks to all the disasters and calamites it made us go through. Now that 2021 is almost around the corner, it is time to have a quick look at the worst things that happened this year so that we can thank God for surviving it all.

Bushfire in Australia

For years, we have been warned about climate changes that may happen, and it actually happened in 2020. The uncontrollable bushfire engulfed the Australian forests along with the animals living there. Sadly,1.25 million animals, of which many were endangered and rare species, were lost in the deadly fires that started in the June 2019 and continued till 2020.

Coronavirus Pandemic

Coronavirus or COVID-19 made it to headlines in December 2019, when people in China started becoming victim of a flu-like virus. Soon the virus started affecting the whole world and as of now, millions of people across the world have suffered from it. The COVID-19 is still uncontrollable and is spreading like a wildfire. To everyone’s shock, a new variant of coronavirus has also emerged lately and is more transmissible. Researchers are working hard to come up with a vaccine to contain COVID-19.

Locust Swarms

Millions of desert locusts invaded East Africa and Asia in 2020. Though they do not directly harm human beings, locusts damage the crops and plants.

Volcanic Eruption

On 12th January, 2020, Taal Volcano in Philippines became active after 43 years and started erupting. Soon, the ashes were everywhere and authorities started evacuating the residents. According to official reports, there were more than 2,464 earthquakes in the tectonic plates and 176 were felt by the locals.

Imran Abbas To Marry Alizeh Shah Soon?

Imran Abbas and Alizeh Shah have been part of the entertainment industry for quite a while now. The both have been part of some amazing projects and have created their own identity with their work. Both look good together on and off the screen and a rumour has it that they are about to tie the knot soon.

Recently the duo was seen together in Jo Tu Chahay and stunned the audience with their performance. In fact, the chemistry between the two is the main reason the drama became a hit. PSL 2021 To Be Played in Karachi and Lahore Only Due to COVID-19

All 34 matches of PSL 2021 are likely to be played in Karachi and Lahore only. Though the news is not yet official it is said that PCB is considering organizing an equal number of matches in both the cities. 17 matches will be played in Karachi while Lahore will host the same number of matches. The decision of limiting matches to only two cities is because of the recent COVID-19 situation.

Previous year, all matches of PSL were played in Pakistan for the first time ever since its inception in 2016. The matches were played in four cities including Multan, Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi.

For 2021, the PCB was planning to add in Peshawar as another destination but due to the ongoing pandemic, this seems a tough choice and the board is contemplating to distribute matches between two metropolitan cities only.

This will become a challenge for Karachi and Lahore, especially for Karachi which faces major traffic issues whenever matches are staged here. Also, the law enforcement agencies will face a tough time managing peace and security city-wide for 15 days, and that too nonstop. However, this is too early to comment on it.

Multan too was a good option but lack of infrastructure, logistic problems, shortage of proper accommodation for international players and players’ security would be difficult. The same is not true for Rawalpindi though, which can be used as a third venue if the officials want to reduce burden on the two mentioned cities.

For now, the PCB is taking into consideration all the available venue options which will then be shared with the six franchise owners. The owners will then take the final call.

An official from PCB stated that all franchises are ready for PSL 2021 after clearing their previous charges. The PSL 2021 is expected to happen in February-March.
