In a high-level diplomatic engagement aimed at reinforcing strategic cooperation, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi, held separate meetings with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Murree on Friday.

The discussions centered around enhancing bilateral relations, with a particular focus on education, science, trade, investment, and sustainable development.

Both Nawaz and Maryam extended warm hospitality to the ambassador and conveyed heartfelt sentiments and goodwill on behalf of the people of Punjab to the UAE leadership.

Nawaz Sharif highlighted the deep-rooted and historic ties between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, noting that their alliance has gone far beyond formal diplomacy and evolved into a bond based on mutual respect and shared goals.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized Punjab’s strides in the health, education, infrastructure, and renewable energy sectors. She extended an open invitation to Emirati investors, assuring them of Punjab’s transparent and investor-friendly ecosystem.

She also welcomed the recent implementation of the visa-free agreement for holders of diplomatic and official passports, calling it a major step forward in enhancing ease of mobility between the two nations.
