Rupee Just Shy of 278 Against US Dollar After Today’s Increase

The Pakistani Rupee continued its positive streak on Thursday, closing in green against the US Dollar for the 136th consecutive day. The local currency gained one paisa, ending the session at 279.02, signaling ongoing stability in the foreign exchange market.

In addition to the US Dollar, the PKR posted gains against several other major currencies during the day. It gained 71 paisas against the currency”, “Euro”, “EUR”, 80 paisas against the entity” currency”, “British Pound”, “GBP”, and 62 paisas against the entity “currency”, “Australian Dollar”, “AUD”. Smaller gains were also recorded against the entity “currency”, “Canadian Dollar”, “CAD”, with an increase of 2 paisas.

The rupee remained largely stable against the Middle Eastern currencies, closing unchanged against both the UAE Dirham and the Saudi Riyal. This stability comes amid global market fluctuations, reflecting confidence in the PKR’s resilience.
