Gold prices in Pakistan recorded another significant increase on Friday, with the local market following the upward movement seen in international gold prices.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold climbed by Rs. 3,900 per tola to close at Rs. 469,136.
The latest increase adds to recent movements in the domestic gold market, keeping the precious metal at an elevated price level for Pakistani buyers and investors.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also increased during the session. It rose by Rs. 3,344 to reach Rs. 402,208.
The rise in local gold prices was linked to a similar increase in international gold prices, highlighting the strong influence of global market trends on Pakistan’s bullion market.
Gold prices in Pakistan are closely connected to international rates, while changes in currency values and domestic market conditions can also affect the final price for buyers.
The latest increase is significant for consumers purchasing gold jewelry, as higher bullion rates can raise the overall cost of jewelry and other gold products.
For investors and people holding gold as a store of value, changes in per-tola prices are also closely watched as an indicator of the precious metal’s market direction.
The 24-karat category represents highly pure gold and is commonly used as a reference when reporting daily bullion prices in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the 10-gram rate provides another commonly followed benchmark for consumers and traders monitoring changes in the domestic market.
With the price now standing at Rs. 469,136 per tola, buyers may face higher costs compared with previous trading sessions.
Market participants will continue to monitor international gold prices and other economic factors for signs of the next movement in local bullion rates.
The latest rise also highlights the volatility that can affect gold prices, with changes in global markets quickly reflected in Pakistan’s local bullion trade.
Gold remains a closely watched asset in Pakistan, both for traditional jewelry purchases and as an investment option. Daily price updates therefore attract considerable attention from consumers, traders and investors.
As international gold prices continue to influence the domestic market, further changes in Pakistan’s gold rates will depend largely on global market movements and prevailing local conditions.
