[Karachi: September 02, 2019] Ramsha Khan, after giving us the blockbuster serials Kaisa Hai Naseeban (ARY Digital) & Shahrukh Ki Saaliyan (GEO Entertainment) in 2019, has signed the lead role in a serial for acclaimed director Badar Mehmood, the man behind super hit drama serials Cheekh and Balaa.


Ramsha Khan will be playing the leading lady, Hamna, whose life gets into an unexpected situation, and how everyone around her impacted because of it. The ensemble cast of the serial also includes Feroze Khan, Hania Aamir, Gohar Rasheed & Shabbir Jan in pivotal roles.


The serial has been written by ace writer Mohsin Ali, who also given us masterpieces like Aisi Hai Tanhayi and the film Chuppan Chupai, and is being produced under the banner of Big Bang Entertainment.


“Working with THE Badar Mehmood was a career wishlist for me, and I am so honoured with this opportunity at such an early stage of my career,” states Ramsha Khan.

[Karachi: August 31, 2019] Pakistan entertainment industry’s rising star, multitalented Amar Khan is all set to star in a mini-series by Hum TV, titled ‘Choti Choti Baatein’ are short episodic stories depicting the issues women in our society face every day and how they overcome them.

The mini-series is being directed by Angeline Malik, while Amar Khan will be playing the lead role of Zeena in the episode titled ‘Roop’ opposite Muneeb Butt. They will be joined by Mehmood Aslam, Rubina Ashraf, Lubna Aslam, Ghana Ali, and Sara Raza in supporting roles.

‘Roop’ is a story of a simplistic, studious girl named Zeena (played by Khan) who is consistently criticised at her home and workplace for her looks. It is a short love story revolving around the chemistry that fires up between her and Muneeb Butt’s character as he develops an interest in her despite her unpopular physical appearance.

“It is refreshing to play engaging and different roles which are relatable with the audience and talks about girls and their relevant problems in today’s time. Zeena’s character uplifts the thought of proving your mettle based on her intellect and not makeup & physical appearance,” stated Amar Khan.

Choti Choti Baatein will be aired this Sunday at 8 pm on Hum TV and will continue to air a weekly episode for the next 4 weeks.

Think Tank for Hoga Saaf Pakistan Held In Karachi

[Karachi, August 22, 2019] Hoga Saaf Pakistan (HSP), a movement by Reckitt Benckiser (RB) Pakistan, arranged a Think Tank in Karachi with several prominent and influential individuals. The HSP Think Tank was an effort to discuss and raise countermeasures to tackle the current dire state of hygiene and cleanliness in the country.

Amongst those who attended were: prominent journalists including Afia Salam, Yusra Askari and Zofeen Ebrahim; Editor of Newsline & Glam, Khursheed Hyder; lawyer and human rights activist, Jibran Nasir; the Executive Director of the School of Leadership (SOL), Maalik Khaskhely; screenwriter, Asma Nabeel; Marketing & Communications Manager at The Beaconhouse Group, Rehan Wajih along with the Assistant Marketing Manager, The City School, Sakina Tahir; corporate representatives including CEO RB Pakistan, Fahad Ashraf and Director Marketing – Health, RB Pakistan, Humayun Farooq.

Tech giant Google, following the tradition, Wednesday marked Pakistan’s Independence Day by dedicating a doodle on its homepage.

The doodle is green in colour and shows the historic Khyber Pass of Peshawar. In the past, Google’s doodles have drawn inspiration from the Lahore Fort and the Indus Valley Civilisation.

Pakistan’s 73rd Independence Day is being celebrated today as Kashmir Solidarity Day to express full support to innocent Kashmiris reeling from renewed Indian repression.

This is not the first time that the search engine has featured a doodle for any Pakistani event. Google has also celebrated the birthdays of legendary musician Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi, Shehenshah-e Ghazl Mehdi Hassan and   Pakistan’s most prominent and prolific artist Syed Sadequain Ahmed Naqvi with a doodle on his birthday.

With the blockbuster Kamzarf just ending to raving reviews and ratings, leading lady Rabab Hashim, is all set to be back on our screens with a 7th Sky Entertainment’s production ‘Mere Mohsin’, going on air on Geo Entertainment.

‘Meray Mohsin’ is the third time Hashim is working with the director Ali Faizan, with whom she has previously worked on, ‘Ishqa Waay’ and ‘Piya Mann Bhae’ and the ensemble cast for the serial includes Syed Jibran, Saba Hameed, Jinaan Hussain & Mariyam Nafees.

The Pakistan Met department issued a heat wave warning last week, predicting that temperatures in the city may soar to as high as 42 degrees in the coming days, and advised all stakeholders to take preventive measures. During the day when the temperatures are at its peak, use of wet towels will ensure that body temperature do not rise, and are able to bear their fast easily. Water bottles are also being distributed before Iftar time at different high volume traffic points.

Every patient entering a SINA clinic receives a qualified doctor’s consultation, screening, free medicines ranging from Panadol to Insulin, Lab tests ranging from CBC to PCR (Hep C), Ultrasound and referral services to tertiary care hospitals.

Awareness has been noticeably better this summer as a result of increased awareness and a heightened sense of responsibility. The Telenor Youth Forum’s 2018-2019 program concluded today at the dtac headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand, where a delegation of 16 young leaders from 8 nations, including Pakistan, pitched their four services to Telenor Group and dtac leadership and experts from Plan International, UNICEF and the Nobel Peace Centre. Out of the four teams, AgriMatch was declared the winning team and received USD 15,000 in funding to implement their proposed service, with an aim to reduce inequalities in accordance with the UN Sustainable Development Goal #10.

Following six months of intense development work and remote collaboration spread across four nations, AgriMatch has won Telenor Youth Forum for their mobile service to equalise the agricultural supply chain and empower farmers currently in a vicious cycle of debt and poverty. The team’s challenge was to design a digital solution to optimize or increase sustainability of food production, ultimately contributing towards reduced inequalities in global health.

Farmers and middlemen will soon be able find, contact and rate each other through the AgriMatch mobile platform, if the winning Telenor Youth Forum team has their way. AgriMatch aims to pilot their service in Myanmar where more than 70 percent of the population relies on agriculture as their primary source of income, according to a 2019 Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) report.

Pakistan’s TYF representatives included two very talented girls, Asma Akbar Ladak from Karachi and Maieda Janjua from Islamabad. Asma’s team Paanigar pitched a solution to solve the water crisis in Pakistan through enhanced access to clean drinking water by providing a one stop solution for all water related problems. Maieda’s group Team Walrus, designed a mental health ed-tech platform to raise awareness, create understanding and build resilience in teenagers.

The teams also showcased their services in a digital exhibition which was attended by Telenor Group management and representatives from the Nobel Peace Center.

Multi-talented actor and singer, Junaid Khan, who has been ruling our television screens giving us back to back blockbuster projects including Kamzarf, Silsilay and Ishq Tamasha to name a few, has just signed a project with Hira Mani – his hit costar from the 2017 blockbuster serial Sun Yaara.

Titled “Makafaat”, the serial will see Junaid in a lead role alongside Hira Mani, and is being produced under the banner of Mastermind Productions. Directed by Ahmed Kamran, the serial boasts a stellar cast, including Atiqa Odho, Ali Ansari, and Marium Nafees along with Junaid Khan.
