Karachi Cools Down After Rainstorm

Karachi is experiencing a welcome wave of chilly weather after a recent bout of heavy rain and thunderstorms. The temperature has dropped noticeably, bringing a refreshing change to the port city’s climate.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the city will remain dry, cold, and slightly cloudy for the next day or so. Winds are blowing in from the northwest, adding to the chill in the air. The minimum temperature recorded today was a brisk 13°C (55°F).

The recent rainfall hit many areas of Karachi, including II Chundrigar Road, Saddar, Sarjani Town, Malir, and more.

Short-Lived Cold Snap

While the current cold snap is a nice break from Karachi’s usual warmth, weather experts say it won’t last long. The westerly winds causing the cooler weather are expected to fade, and there’s no further rain in the forecast. Temperatures should climb back up within a few days.
